BUILDERS OF THE DESERT
Workshop organised be Marsad Drâa and developed by Moroccan artist Rachid Ouhnni with the children of the oasis of Tighmert, Guelmim (Morocco).
The artist wanted to explore the relation between public space and how children use it. They proposed him to build two villages, one without instructions and another one according to the plans they drew previously. This is the result.

In order to protect the courtyard from the sun during the summer, a nomad tent has been installed. He has also taken into consideration the column needed to connect the electric cable. All these elements can be seen in the oasis.

Ali has represented the construction system with the roof made with wood beams.
