Carlos Perez Marin

From June the 15 to September the 25th, it took place documenta fifteen, considered one of the major art events in the world that it is held every five years, since the 50s, in the city of Kassel (Germany). For this edition, the Indonesian collective ruangrupa was designated for the artistic direction and instead of inviting just artists, they proposed collectives (and some artists) to transpose the activities and methodologies, in terms of cultural development, that each group carries out in their neighborhoods and cities to Kassel. One of the collectives selected was LE 18 MARRAKECH, with whom I maintain a long relationship thanks to the cultural activities we share and to our friendship. Last year they asked me to work with them for this special occasion, which has allowed me to experience this event from within. 

This is my very personal version of a process that took 10 months, from December 2021 to September 2022.
