00. Preamble
In October 2022, the XXV Ceuta History Conference was held, organised by the Instituto de Estudios Ceutíes, entitled Historical Heritage of Ceuta and its surroundings. The program included a presentation on Territory and heritage: Saharan caravans, which is included in the proceedings published in September 2024. This is the web version of the article divided into two parts, plus the program of the event with videos of two of the three days, which also includes the round table held on the last day, What future for our heritage?, in which I also participated.
